NEW Allergy & Anaphylaxis Awareness Training Coming to Splat Training This September to help schools and nurseries be allergy ready!
Schools and nurseries need to be allergy ready.
More children than ever now live with severe allergies. At the same time, schools across England are preparing for major changes through Benedict’s Law. Staff need to feel calm, confident, and ready to act in an emergency.
That’s why we’re launching our brand-new Allergy Ready this September.
Our new course gives schools and early years settings practical, supportive training that works in real-life situations.
What is Benedict’s Law?
Benedict’s Law introduces new allergy safety measures for schools in England. The changes aim to improve how schools prevent and respond to severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis emergencies.
From September 2026, schools are expected to have:
🟢 Whole-school allergy policies
🟢 Allergy awareness and anaphylaxis training for staff
🟢 Emergency adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs)
🟢 Healthcare and allergy action plans for pupils with allergies
The Department for Education and Anaphylaxis UK are expected to release final guidance during Summer 2026.
Practical Training for Real School Life
At Splat, we believe training should feel practical, supportive, and human.
We designed this course for real schools, real nurseries, and real situations. Staff will learn how to recognise allergic reactions quickly and respond with confidence.
The course will help teams:
🧡 Understand allergy risks in schools and nurseries
🧡 Recognise the signs of an allergic reaction and anaphylaxis
🧡 Respond calmly in an emergency
🧡 Build confidence using adrenaline auto-injectors
🧡 Create safer everyday environments for children with allergies
We want staff to leave feeling reassured, empowered, and prepared.
Flexible Booking Options
We’ll offer the training in two flexible ways.
Open Courses
Perfect for individual staff members or smaller teams.
Our public sessions will take place at Todmorden College.
Group Training at Your Setting
Need training for a whole team?
We can deliver the course at your school, nursery, or setting. This option works well for inset days and staff training sessions.
Why Allergy Training Matters
Allergy emergencies can happen quickly. Good training helps staff respond faster and more confidently.
New national guidance also means schools need clearer systems, better preparation, and stronger allergy awareness across the whole setting.
We’re proud to support schools as these changes arrive.
Coming September 2026
