Paediatric First Aid
2 Options for Paediatric First Aid:
Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) (1day) covering worst case scenarios and a few ‘every day incidents’.
Paediatric First Aid (PFA) (2day) covering everything in EPFA and broad sweep of childhood illness and injury including, for example, broken bones and anaphylaxis.
Which course you need depends on your setting and what other First Aider’s are available. Check out the latest guidance here to help you make that decision:

Our 2 day PFA is delivered as a ‘blended learning‘ course. To reduce the time staff are out of work, we deliver 1 day online in their own time, and 1 day in class to deliver the practical elements of our training. This approach satisfies Ofsted requirements.
All Paediatric First Aid qualifications last for 3 years. We invite all our community members to attend an annual refresher for FREE to combat skills fade.
Don’t Forget the Grownups!
While I’m sure you’re reading this thinking about the children in your care, you must remember that your school is a workplace and so you need to appoint somebody (at least 1 person) to look after the grownups (see our workplace first aid courses).
